Cards (23 of 25) – “Bronze Card of Valour″

No “i” in “team”, but a “u” in “valour”.

How did someone earn one ?  Ice ten or more enemies in a single fight.  This card was one well within the reach of spellcasters; one would think an able Fighter up against a 1- or 2-Hit-Dice platoon of minions would be the only recipient, but a Cleric (A.T.’s Anathiir for example) with a decent Area of Effect spell could (and did) score one of these.  Especially if the enemies were Undead.

How frequently were they awarded ?  This was one of the more commonly awarded cards; in E.G.’s undead-heavy game, we were often faced with a decent horde of creatures (zombies and the like) and when one of our party went the Great Cleave / Whirlwind Attack build on his Fighter, he need only let himself be surrounded.

And if you killed more than twenty foes ?  Wait ’til next week’s card.

The “Cards” series of posts recalls the special “trophy” business-cards awarded to players during E.G.’s original D&D v.3.5 game several years ago.  This is a weekly post.
